Congratulations Rutgers University – 2023 Newark Law Graduates!

In the effort to remain green on campus, all ­­­Rutgers students will be wearing environmentally conscious GreenWeaver^® regalia. This line of graduation wear is made of fabric spun from molten plastic pellets produced from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

Each year in the US more than 35 billion plastic water bottles are thrown away, enough to circle the Earth four times. Most end up in landfills or incinerators, and millions litter America’s streets, parks, and waterways. With an average of 25 plastic bottles being used to produce your cap and gown; you are helping to ensure a cleaner, healthier future for our planet.

Since 2016, Universitywide, Rutgers has helped to divert OVER 1,792,475 plastic bottles from landfills!

Important Dates:

• March 28, 2023: DEADLINE to order for Bookstore pick up. 
• Regalia packages will be distributed at the Rutgers Newark Bookstore May 1^st – May 12^th, 2023

• Ship-to-home packages are estimated to arrive in approximately 3 weeks barring no fulfillment, distribution, or delivery interruptions by shipping carriers.  (Note: all items will be shipped to the graduate at the home address you provide at checkout.)
• April 14, 2023: DEADLINE to order for ship-to-home. (S&H fee applies) 
• Commencement: Friday, May 19th, 2023
